Edgar Sia II is the man behind Mang Inasal, one of the fastest growing food companies in the Philippines and has today become a modern icon of the Ilonggo culinary culture. But beyond the story of his business genius, Edgar has shown how the belief of one person in the economic potentials of Iloilo City can trickle down to the benefits of its residents, providing much-needed taxes and jobs for the people.

Edgar’s acumen is not just on the food business. He also runs a hotel, a laundromat service and a photo developing shop.  Of late, he helped bring back to its feet Deco’s Batchoy, a thriving local food business serving the Ilonggo cuisine. Deco’s rebound exemplifies what Iloilo’s economy needs – fresh ideas, fresh infusion.

For Edgar, competition is never a problem as long as you put your best in whatever you do. As they say it in baseball, “build it and they will come.” Despite the presence of similar businesses, he opened Mang Inasal and Deco’s Batchoy, convinced that what he is offering is of top quality and integrity.
