Glen Norris, Chief Executive Officer of Callbox, Inc.

CALLBOX, Inc.
Information and Communications Technology Champion

Nobody believed in the potentials of Iloilo City and its human resources the way Callbox did. Without so much fanfare, it opened its doors in 2004 to become the first call center in the metropolis, banking on local talents for its operation. But as it uses homegrown workforces, it also upgrades their skills through career advancement activities involving negotiations, sales, marketing and programming, among others.

Callbox’s belief in the Ilonggo workers is manifested all the more by the benefits that it provides to its employees. Aside from revenue shares, it gives the highest average salary a large scale employer can give. Certified as 100% compliant to labor laws, it provides daily individual and monthly group incentives, leave credits and nightshift deferential, among others.

But beyond providing jobs to at least 500 people with a clean bill of labor health, Callbox paved the way in making Iloilo City a favorite site for business processing offices. Making itself at par with industry name brands through persistence, ingenuity and hard work, it built the confidence of investors in Iloilo City and placed it on the map as a global business hub.
