The Canadian Urban Institute (CUI) in the Philippines is proud to announce the 2007 Urban Leadership Awardees who were honored for their outstanding contributions to enhancement of our public realm and the quality of life in the Metro Iloilo-Guimaras area and the rest of the Western Visayas region.

The awards were conferred by Lisa Cavicchia, program manager of the CUI International Partnerships Office; Gerard Belanger, advisor for International Development Projects of the Canadian International Development Agency, Canadian Partnership Branch; and Mayor Jerry Treñas, chair of the Metro Iloilo-Guimaras Economic Development Council (MIGEDC).

The awarding ceremony was held on 14 December 2007, 6:30 P.M. at the Kalantiao Hall of the Sarabia Manor Hotel and Convention Center.
